RvBCanWest was created by RvB users Laird and Luke McKay and is the main Red vs Blue fan event on the West Coast. It takes place in Vancouver, BC.

History
What began an off the cuff query soon became the biggest RT fan event since RvBTO. Shortly before summer 2006, Luke McKay posted a journal asking if anyone in the Vancouver area wanted to go for drinks followed by some Halo at his apartment. This proved an instant success. Thus planning for the first official CanWest began.
The First RvB CanWest
The first CanWest occurred in May, 2006. Joel Heyman and Kathleen Zeulch attended.
RvBCanWest II
The second CanWest took place May 18th-21st, 2007. Kathleen returned, bringing with her Nico Audy-Rowland and Geoff Ramsey. Filmmaker Jesse Cowell also attended, showing the first five episodes of his latest series, Drawn By Pain.
RvBCanWest III
Was held Memorial Day weekend, May 23rd-25th, 2008. RT's newest, highly-anticipated project RvB:Reconstruction premiered here a day before going live on the main site. Joel and Nico returned, bringing along Becca. Other guests included columnist Knuckles Dawson, Youtube-sensation Digitalph33r and industry professionals from XBOX Live, Microsoft and Bungie Studios providing a panel relating to the game industry. The aim of the third annual CanWest was to reach out to members of many communities. Planning for the fourth has already begun.
RvBCanWest IV
Will be held Memorial Day weekend, May 22nd-24th, 2009.
