Roosterpedia Do's and Don'ts

Guidelines for User Enjoyment

Do: Add your opinion. If it is starkly different from the opinions already stated, give it its own section and header. Make it stand out.

Do: Be confident in what you have to say if you truly think it is something that needs to be said, even if it might cause controversy.

Do: Be respectful of what is already there; leave the opinions of others separate from your own.

Do: Use the talk page for each article. This is here for specifically this purpose -- communicating with other users.

Do: Sign your comments when you leave them on the talk pages. All you have to type is ~~~~ and your name will appear with a timestamp at the end of your comment.

Don't: Delete something you find controversial. State your side of the story. If it is worth debating, then it will be hashed out on the discussion page.

Don't: Take things personally if you're not personally being attacked. Everyone's just having a little fun. Sometimes it's at the expense of others; it's the nature of the internet. Stand up for yourself and have a little fun back

Don't: Panic if something is truly unwarranted or excessively offensive. Bring this to the attention of a moderator. We're the equivalent of playground monitors; most of the time, we'll tell you to work out your problems on your own. But if someone is truly being wronged, we'll step in and take care of the situation.

Don't: Abuse the privilege! If you aren't respectful of the opinions of others and the guidelines set up here, your editing privileges will be revoked.
